SOURCE: Fuse keeps blowing

Greetings..hopefully we can help or at least isolate the issue. You need to know that there was a few recalls with the cruise control system which is involved.. speedo and odometer is possibly in that circuit..but I am sure the ac had a separate fuse and relay...I do not have a book or schematics here. ,,I would disconect the wires to the ac compressor taking that out of the cause... I would also disconnect the cruise control wire to the unit and drive aroud for a day or so to see what happens. This is whats known as isolate and test . It may take some time but it will give you answers to what is the cause and then check that system out with us. At least you will have it narrowed down...ps ..do not forget at when it happens and what type of roadway ( bumpy, soft, wet, snow) as it all plays a part in diagnostics. I hope this helped.

SOURCE: 1996 Dodge Stratus keeps blowing fuse to starter!

Need to look at symntec and see if there is a relay on the starter. Which there most likely is. and it is bad. Look at the fuse and see if there is another wire going from the fuse to a relay,if so replace that relay.

I have a 2004 Buick lesabre won't start just 1 single click

buy a $15 voltmeter and end throwing parts an going broke.

while jump started it runs, (you forgot that key fa
and running after the ALT swap the charge battery lamp glows.
and that means ALT changedwith battery neg lug not pulled
that means the 100amp ALT fuse was blown out doing that wrong.
jumper start it again see that lamp glow?
then battery voltage is 11 to 15vdc, below means fuse is blown./
mean ALT is dead or 3 fuse too it blown.
the huge fuse can be a Fusible link type, ignored by noobs
9 of 10 says good and forgot the Huge ones./ or fusible link.

see the black code (buick code) fusible link hear
voltage must be same both sides of it, engine running
or it is blown,
step 1, new alternator put in ,is NEG lug off first or BOOM./
black code. 105 amp ALT, so fuse must be more. (a tad)
raw links are 9" long max
the diodes in ALT seen blow 3 phase can short and you never want a harness fire in any car, (near fuel) ever.
so it must be fused. as it was.
what I do is upgrade to real fuses and small ;block to hold it.
120amp fuse. called maxi fuse.
I'd go FL12 links here the insulation is very special on them

buick-undefined-undefined-0.jpg https://www.whiteproducts.com/fusible-specs.shtml

If you are running an big 130 or 140 amp alternator, 6 guage would make sense for the charge wire #1 with a 10 guage fusible link to protect it.
yes hard to find them,, so upgrade to maxifuse is best.

I have a nissan frontier 4x4 2005 and the alternator went bad which was then changed and since then the vehicle is hard starting and slow cranking.

Done wrong. for sure.(NO I am wrong yes common but not this time remove battery neg lug first. (in the service manual told)
step 2 , remove ALT
and put in new.
battery back last.
if done wrong you blew up the 140amp ALT FUSE.
there can be 3 fuses, to blow on the alt, done wrong.
but the big one is blown
engine running, , 11v to 15vd, below that is bad ALT.
or blow fuse.

as you drove it you fully ignored the cluster lamp (charge/battery/gen)?
That is the ALT regulator telling you I AM DEAD> fuse blown sure.
we have 100s of post here same deadl
step one skipped.
or forgot the rear connector plug in? I can only guess actions,
unseen.
worse yet finding the 140amp fuse can be hard, (fuseabie_links)
so now bad battery or starter .

2002 saturn sl2 will not start for no apparant reason then 1 to 3 days later starts, while trying it 2-3 times a day. Towed to a garage both times and they could find nothing wrong.

Why couldn't they find anything wrong? The main componants should be tested first. (the starter, srarter relay, any related wiring, ignition switch, and all connections at battery, relay, fuse, starter, and eng. block). Good luck.
