When applying the brakes on my 2006 Hyundai Tucson, the ABS will kick in and engage. The ABS light came on and went away, but the ABS engages a lot now. What could that be?

SOURCE: ABS light on

Sounds like a bad ABS sensor. Which unfortunately is usually built into the HUB assembly and the whole thing needs replacing. Take is to a garage that has an ABS diagnostic tool and they can tell you which wheel is throwing the code and then go from there

Hi I have a Hyundai Tucson there are no lights on on my dash but everytime I touch the brakes to slow down my abs kicks in and makes a lot of noise can any body help me please

You would need to run diagnostics to check for any DTCs first. Secondly you could try unplugging your ABS pump and cleaning out the pins and socket. Thirdly try the basics, check fuses and brake fluid level.
Did you have any work done on it recently regarding brakes/driveshafts/wheel bearings/cv joints or anything that would involve removing of any of those components? -if so, your ABS “wheel” or pickup sensors could be damaged.

ABS engages without braking

Check all wheel sensors for broken wires, loose connectors or position of sensors in their mounting brackets.

Are there any malfunction lights coming on? If so then it could be a wheel speed sensor. sometimes people confuse rotor vibration with abs pulsation.

ABS light is constantly on this happened after I went through some snow I had also the (((!))) sign flashing, but now it is gone Golf 4, 1.4 16V 1999 Please advise. Thank you so much

that sign is your traction controll kicking in trying to keep the car under controll by applying the brakes to the tire that is spinning it can engage the ABS too your ABS controller is more than likely damaged and needs replaced it is a common problem with VW ABS systems.

I have a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe that we just purchased. The cruise control light comes on but when we try to set the speed it won't engage.

Easiest way to check the brake switch is to have one person step on the brake pedal, and another get behind the truck to see if the brake lights come on.  If the brake switch is good, you may need to have the truck checked out at the dealer.  Yes, we love Hyundai.  We've had 2 Elantra's and my wife has a Tucson.
