My sister has a 04 grand Prix 3.6. Her husband connected the battery backwards. And tried to start her car. We replaced the fuses in the Underhood fuse box and several relays. Not sure if the are properly installed in box. Or the proper ones. Replaced fuses inside fuse box on passenger side of the car. Dash light and everything seems to be working. When turn key to start dash lights go out and a clicking noise coming from the passenger side dash behind fuse box. Tried to scan obd2. Powers on starts communication then says communication failure no

SOURCE: headlights flicker all the time

Hi, my name is ricky and im 24 yrs old and from Bronx, N.Y . I bought my 03 impala in 04 and i had the same problem in 2007 in which that clicking noise happens. The headlights flicker, and even the gauges inside the car would flicker at times. It has nothing to do with fuses or a relay, please dont spend money on that b.s. like i did..lol I will try my best to explain what i did so that you can save some money and time. READ EVERYTHING AND USE ADVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
1st of all - I went to a junk yard/auto salvage yard to find a USED part that i needed. Often there are good parts from cars that have been totalled.
2nd- What i asked for was a Body Control Module. This controls most of the electric issues you are having and costed me about 50 dollars compared to a new one that was over $200 and reached up to $500.
3rd- I went head first under the steering column and found where the BCM was located. Poke around to find it cause it is def. there, hidden well. It doesnt take special skill to remove it or find it.
4th-Replace the BCM, but be advised that after you do this, your car might not crank over.My car did crank over because i installed a automatic starter previously so i could have started it with the remote start.
5th- you MUST take the car to a chevy shop so they can Program your car to the body control module this costed me about $250.
All together this information has to help you in someway.
If you have further questions or would like to make a comment, then e-mail me at " [email protected] "
I hope this helps...im not saying it is a 100 percent guarantee for you, but i had this same problem recently and this was the answer to my problem. By the way, never buy a american car again or a GM product for that matter...Kudos

SOURCE: 98 ford windstar has clicking noise under dash and won't start

The clicking noise is most likly the starter solinoid cycling in and out. This is due to low battery voltage. charge the battery, then have the battery and charging system tested. Some auto supply stores will do this for free for you in the hopes of selling parts

good luck

SOURCE: i turn the key in the ignition, dash lights all, 92 grand prix le

Problem number one sounds like a dead battery to me. Problem with driver door is the cable in your window regulator is broken and bound up. Will need to replace the regulator. Passenger side window problem could be caused by a number of things... most common that come to mind are window guide not in correct position or one of the bolts that hold the window to the regulator has come loose.

SOURCE: no dash lights windows wont go up or down car wont

Likely be a main fuse it's not the relay if it clicks. The only problem is their must have been a fault for the fuse to blow. Did you overload the system ie. fit spotlight's or simular without a seperate relay. The fuse will be a problem but not a cure.

05 grand prix passenger low beam doesnt work

You find a wiring diagram an use a DVOM -digital volt ohmmeter an test the electrical circuit for that headlamp. Is the fuse for that lamp good ?

For low beam operation, battery positive voltage is applied at all times to the coil and switch side of the low beam relay in the underhood fuse block. Ground is applied at all times from G202 to the headlamp switch. When the headlamp switch is placed in the HEAD position, ground is applied to the headlamps ON signal circuit to the body control module (BCM). When either the headlamp switch is placed in the HEAD position or ALC is enabled, the BCM applies a ground to the low beam relay control circuit. This energizes the relay and applies battery positive voltage to the LEFT and RIGHT low beam fuses in the underhood fuse block. Battery positive voltage is then applied from the fuses through the headlamp supply voltage circuit to the headlamps. Ground is applied at all times to the left headlamp from G101 and to the right headlamp from G100.

2003 Pontiac Grand Prix SE 6 Cyl - Cooling Fan Not Operating

the fan motor could just be bad, you can test this by removing the fan and connecting a wire to each terminal and to a battery. the wires hooked up one way will spin the fan and the other way will spin the fan backwards so you cant hook it up wrong. I hope that helps you out!

04 pontiac grand prix wont start.

first remove the battery and take it to a auto parts place and have them check it. move on from there. if the battery is good the do a starter draw test. take a meter and hook it to your battery. now have someone try and start the car. if the voltage on the battery drops from 12.8 to below 9 volts then the starter is bad. if the voltage doesnt drop much at all then its prolly the solenoid both of which require starter replacement since most solenoids are on starters. if still nothing then check ignition switch. but before anything else ensure vehicle is in park. if it is in part use a meter to test neutral safety switch.

Lights go out on dash DIC

make sure you clean your positive battery terminal. It can be quite corroded in there without any outside signs. Next check ground connections (main ground is under the underhood fuse box...is it rusted down there? If it's none of those, start looking at the ignition switch.
