i have a 2005 hyundai both back doors would not open from the outside . after taking the panel off i found out that the handle is completely plastic and that it had broke in half because off stress . i removed the handle ( which was a pain ) and used quick drying epoxy on the crack . then i put a thin piece if aluminum on each side of the crack and used the same epoxy to hold it on . the next day i put the handles back on ( after letting the epoxy dry ) and it has worked perfect ever since. my next recourse , if it breaks again , is go to ebay . there is a seller if you type in hyundai door handles that sells 2 after market ones for $39.99. they fit 2001 to 2005 . i hope that this helps .

Either the interior door handle or the cable inside the door is broken. You'll need to remove the door panel and look to see what is damaged.

like at all? i have an issue where mine wont close want half of it? lol. i have to tighten the screws on mine in order to make it close. maybe do the opposite?

Try going in through the inside of the vehicle and releasing the hasp thats bolted to the bodywork,then once its open you can find whats wrong ,most likely is a plastic clip that holds a metal bar in place to the opening push mechanism ,these clips break and the bar falls loose

should either have a screw to remove most covers or it pops offs. my guess it just pops off. try a small flat blade to see if you can figure it out. some have little tabs to hold the cover in place
