1994 940 volvo how to run antenna line from trunk to interior

There is a fuse for these. Fuse good and has power to it. Look at replacing the light/dimmer switch. If the fuse is good, you need to check for power at the switch plug. Could be a bad wire.. Power or ground.

Most antennas are located in the windshield or back window... there are booster boxes that boost the signal on its way to your receiver
somtimes they are located hidden in the trunk..and are about the size of a half pack of cigarettes.. see if you can get a schematic to help locate the boosters .

If I remember correctly, FM and AM tuners are separate devices with separate antennas. Both devices are located in the trunk. Check antenna connections and fuses, then try with diagnostic tool and look for error codes.

My 2013 C70's trunk won't open if the glove compartment is locked. May be a special feature for convertibles.

CHECK YOUR WIRES IN TRUNK THAT RUN ACCROSS FROM LIGHT TO LIGHT BUICK IS KNOWN FOR THIS AS ONE OF THE HOT LINES HAS WORN A BAR SPOT YOU CAN BLACK TAKE IT OR HEAT SHRINK IT.

It has to be a seal or missing plug that is causing the problem. You can check the seal by taking a piece of chalk and using it to layer around the interior area that would contact the seal in the trunk. Then you can close the trunk and open it and the chalk should transfer to all surfaces of the seal itself. If the chalk isn't making contact at all points the places where it doesn't are most likely the locations causing the leaks.

Time to do a wiggle test of the fuse box wiring. The circuits mentioned are not directly connected , but may travel through common wiring plugs. Try the fuse box fuses again (there may be more than 1 fusebox) Interior light / Radio / Antenna / Clock may be on a battery circuit but not connected to the Fog light not the turn signals other than a connecctor plug or simular.

pop the trunk, same side as gas door pull the interior carpet down or back. Look for a wire with a loop on the end, pull it. "The door should open

Do you see a Spot where the Antenna Is suppose to be? Is it By the trunk?

Power antenna?

If you look in the trunk ,on the side that the antenna is on,you probably have a interior fabric trim panel hiding the lower end of the antenna mount. Remove the panel so you can see the antenna mount.

There is also a cable that runs to you're deck which could have been sliced/ pinched, disconnected and if so, All you would here is static.
