If you still have the factory radio, there is a way to split the power wire for the factory radio to the aftermarket radio. All you will need are the power and ground for your aftermarket radio, so the rest of the wires should be untouched on the plug for the factory radio. You can simply re-install the radio within the dash and retain the keyless entry as well as restoring your dome light function. Here's a PDF of some instructions. If you did not keep the radio, I would suggest looking online or ins ome junk yards, because it is needed. www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/Honda/PDF/466013.pdf

SOURCE: how to dismantle console box of honda civic 2008

1.
Alright, let's just jump right into it. Get down and low and at the front of your center console you'll find two clips holding it in. There's one on the driver's side and one on the passenger side.
Okay so now how the *#$@ do I remove those clips? If you pull they don't come out...and if you pry you'll just scratch your console. Here's how: Look carefully and you'll see the center is a little circle. Gentley push it in...voila..off it pops. Repeat this for the other side.
2.
Alright now it's time to head to the back. You should recline your seats all the way forward and slide them up front. This will give you plenty of room to work. Get down low and you'll see a screw holding the back in -- once again you'll find it on both sides.
Simply take your Phillips head screwdriver to the ****** and unscrew it on both sides.
3.
Look carefully and you're going to see that the top of your center console is comprised of two pieces. One that stretches from the front of the console to just behind the shift boot. The second piece stretches from there to the back of the console.
The second piece is what we're going to remove. Here's how to do it. It's only held down by a few clips so all you need to do is pry it up. So whip out your flat head screw driver, or other prying device along with a cloth to prevent your crazy @$$ from prying up the plastic too. Start and the back and pry it up.
4.
You can theoretically now just pull the whole thing straight up. However what I found to be easier was to pry up one side and get your fingers underneath then pull from left to right (or vice versa) to pop off the front clips. The front clips tend to be in stiffer than the ones around the side and rear.
*POP* The entire center piece should now be free!
5.
Now you're able to lift the piece straight up.
Simply slide the piece up and forward taking care not to scratch anything
6.
Alright you'll probably discover you can't quite get it past the brake lever.
Yup...excellent deduction Sherlock..the gear shifter seems to be in the way.
7.
Alright time to move out of the way Mister Gear Shifter
Slide that baby into 1st gear (Make sure you didn't lower your hand brake!!!)
8.
It's free! Now you have room to work!
Okay now that the gear shift is in first...you have room to carefully slide the piece forward and out without scratching anything.
So now that you have the rear piece off, you want to remove the front piece right?
Well as you can see here, all that's holding it in place are these two screws on this panel.
Take your mighty Phillips head screwdriver and go buck-wild on those two screws
You've now successfully removed everything that's been holding the center console down. You should now be able to slide the center console back and forth.
There you should be able to remove it now..and you should see this

Unfortunately they can't be held responsible for the past money you have put into it. If they recalled and fixed the recall, their job is done. If that was the case,we wouldn't need parts stores cause everyone would be suing the auto

Srs light is on. is there a recall for this problem. 2002 honda civic

I checked on the recall list and there are several listed.
Your best option is to call your Honda dealer and ask them if there are any open recalls on your Civic.
They will need your vehicle identification number (VIN).
If the reason your SRS light is on and it is related to the recall you may be lucky.

Honda civic 2007 handbrake failure

Hopefully you still have the repair invoice from the dealer. Use this to determine which parts were repaired or replaced then go to USA.gov and select product recalls. You can file a complaint there. You should also notify the dealer that the problem was not repaired and you'll legal action if necessary.

2001 honda civic turns on, then turn off 10 sec, computer say everything ready, no engine light on i had a complete check done with a mechanic,it has spark and fuel pump okay, what could be the problem?

Your civic may be affected by a fuel pump connector safety recall. during the inspection an installation of the fuel tank water may have been left in the fuel pump connector. Over time, this water could corrode the terminals in the connector, causing the engine not to start or stall while driving. Have your local Honda dealer run a VIN Status inquiry on your vehicle to see if it is affected by this recall. If not than monitor fuel pump voltage. Back probe the yel/green wire at the fuel pump connector (acess panel under the rear seat.) if the voltage goes away before it dies than the PGM-FI main relay #2 is faulty. The relay is in the underdash fuse box. -hope this helps lmk

Check for recall regarding the ignitor. Phone your VIN number in to the dealer and they will tell you if your vehicle has had it's ignitor replaced under recall. Honda's in that year had this problem.

I dont know wat model civic i have =/

In the door sill on the drivers side, there should be the model description, as well as body, trim, and paint color codes. If not, the dealer can tell you based on the last 8 of your VIN.
