I believe it's a clutch driven fan with a temperature element in the clutch. I've had one go bad and it's a bit ot a pain to replace. You have to take off the fan shroud and disconnect the main radiator hoses to give yourself some space. The Haynes manual has a good description.

SOURCE: Radiator Fan continuously running with engine off, discharging battery

It is not the fault: for long time Renault has that concept, that is to prevent engine oveheating when coolant circulation is suddenly stopped.

Radiator fan can continue to work up to 10 minutes after engine is off. You should worry about it only if it wouldn't stop even after 10 minutes.

SOURCE: 2000 Caravan-Engine cooling fans not running, replaced temperature sensor and fan relay, still not working-HELP

Did you replace the sensor by the thermostat in the engine block or the one under the drivers headlight, There are two, the one next to the thermostat controls the temp gauge in the vehicle. the one under the headlight assembly controls the actual fans and is a electronic module. You have to remove the head light assembly to get to it.

SOURCE: cant find drain plug on radiator for 2000 ford expedition

The radiator drain plug is on passenger side of the radiator tank at the bottom. You can use pliers to loosen it. Be careful that it does NOT come out, only loosen it enough to drain the anti freeze.

SOURCE: No heat in my 2000 ford expedition

You should check your blend door, go to the center of your dash look down towards the floor right at the bottom on the hump (tunnel area) you will see a black or same as interior color, cover it has small slits cut in it, it is held in by two expanding type plastic bolts, they do not unscrew, just pull them out, one on each side. Once removed locate the white small box with a wiring harness connected to it, a little to the right hand side. This is the stepping motor that controls the blend door. Remove the stepping motor, and reconnect the harness, look at the motor drive unit and operate the heater control knob, does the motor turn, if it does then use a mirror and look at the drive end of the blend door itself, it is probably broken. If the door is broken, this repair just got difficult, the entire dash will have to be removed to access the environmental station, once accessed there are about 10 screws that hold the top cover on the enviromental station, undo these screws and remove the top cover, then you can remove and replace the blend door. If you are not comfortable with this difficultly level in repair I suggest you seek out your favorite local shop. removing the dash is not easy, there are alot of screws, some in very difficult places to reach. Testing the motor is easy. I hope this helps, let me know.

What can cause it to over heat? the temperature gage only goes three quarters of the way?

A true overheat is when the coolant is bubbling back into the coolant recovery tank. #1 radiator cap not holding pressure #2 stuck thermostat #3 restricted air flow #4 bad fan clutch #5 bad waterpump #6 restricted water flow in radiator #7 blown head gaskets this is the end results to a overheated engine .

2002 ford expedition air suspension system.where is the relay for the air pump located.

The compressor relay is located under the pass. side headlight, down below on the radiator core support. BTW, it is kinda flat looking and is black & aluminum in color. Make sure to check the connector and replace if it is burnt and/or melted.

2000 expedition ac fan want stop running. The car is off and the keys are out and the fan continues to blow. It stops when I crank the car. I changed the Blower Relay and it did not help.

well it seems to me that you've found the problem, the relay is stuck closed. looking at these wiring diagrams i have, fuse #23 supplys power to the relay. this circuit is hot at all times. so with the relay stuck, it would energize the motor. you can swap a relay of the same type with one from the same location. just be sure it has nothing to do with starting or running the car. most relays are identical. check the part number on the relay

Where is the horn apparatus (under the hood) for my 2002 Ford Expedition? Horn has ceased to work, fuses are good, hearing contact of contacts in stearing wheel. Lots of snow and water lately, water in...

There is the actual horn located in front of the radiator on the support.
I would also check the horn relay. You want to make sure that when depressing the horn button you are getting 12 volts to the horn, but it needs to go to the relay first.
I have a diagram for you :

Please let me know how it goes.

No heat in the front and rear of the truck but the

No engine water is getting into the mini radiators. You could attempt an engine flush to clear out debris... or have it done professionally. A failed temperature control is a possibility - but clogged cooling system is MUCH more probable.

Flush TWICE, with new radiator flush each time.
Be sure the heater is on max temp with decent fan speed. Run for 30 minutes on each load.
Then clean water,
Then 50-50 mix of antifreeze and water... If it was clogged, that will improve it greatly!!
If not, you need the cleaning anyway... then the temperature switch can be addressed.

Where is the front fan blower relay located in my 2000 ford expedition?

I'm guessing under the hood, in the power distribution box. If you look around the engine compartment you'll see what looks like a bigger fuse box. After removing the cover you'll see some bigger fuses and relays. I'm not sure which relay is the one you want. Try a Chilton manual, it'll give you much better detail.
