This car pretty sure has just one pressure sensor on high side near high access port...That pressure terminal has 3 wires...At the compressor relay you should be able to jump terminals 87 and 30 to apply power to compressor no? thanks:)

Also no codes with OBD terminal tester:/ I'd think there would be a refrigerant pressure code but it says zero codes ...

There is a high and low side pressure switch that disconnects the power to the compressor clutch if the refrigerant charge is too high or too low.

SOURCE: Cluthch for AC

power to the clutch went to a lot of parts.

you can trace the power from the fan blower switch, then to the ac switch, then to the pressure switch then to the relay.

ow i forgot, the power source fuse is the first to check also. the fan fuse is different from the compressor fuse. pls check them both.

tnx 4 using fixya,

SOURCE: 2003 saturn L300 3.0 Ltr AC clutch will not engage

From what I understand from the dealer, the L series has an issue with a/c compressors. My 2001 LW300 had the same problem. Usually the clutch coil is bad. If you take the 2 wire plug off your compressor and put power to one pin and ground to the other the clutch should lock. If not, replace the clutch. You can buy an aftermarket clutch for about $130. Hopefully your compressor is easier to get at than mine. Good Luck.

SOURCE: relay switch for ac is not working in my 2003 L200

Should be a electrical box under thehood labeled fuses and relays. Locate the fan relay by looking at the diagram underthe box and change it out, It unplugs.

How to make my a/c compressor clucth to engage on 2003 saturn L200

Hi there, it could be a number of things, like low on refrigerant, or the coil may be no good, or it could be power not getting to the clutch, check the air gap between the clutch and coil, check all these eliminating 1 at a time, hope this helps

I am trying to troubleshoot my 2002 saturn l200. My AC is not working. The button light comes on, but I feel the compressor not coming on. I check the fuse and it's ok?

most likely you are low on freon and the pressure switch will not allow the compressor clutch to engage. one way to tell if that is what is happening is to find the pressure switch located on the low pressure side of the system. you can tell witch line is the low pressure side because it is larger in diameter than the high side. Then take a wire and jump the two wires that go to the switch together. If the compressor starts to run then charge the system with freon. If it does not run then check the relay.

I need to replace air conditioner compressor w/clutch for my 2006 saturn ion 2 sedan automatic 4 cyl-I've found new ac compressor w/clutch at different auto part shops ranging from $175-$500 and w

is it full of freon? if so it could be that you just need to change the magnetic clutch which is a lot simpler job and cheaper too. get a book first so you have referance pull the belt off pull the nut in the center of the ac compressor make shure that you know what the clearance is betwean the clutch and the compressor it has shims and is imperative that the clearance is right you will need measurment tools feeler gages work best but befor you do any of this you need to make sure there is power and ground going to the two wire conector going to the clutch it wont get power till you turn the ac on or the computer tells it to run for the interior eco system so a magnetic cluch will not turn on if there is no signal resulting in the compressor not terning making the ac not work but its fairly simple to do and 900 is a dicent price at a shop but they would probably charge you for the whole compressor and charging the system and it was only a cluch if there is freon and the compressor isnt siezed and theres signal and ground change the clutch

2003 Saturn L200 - Suddenly stopped blowing cold air

If it happened all of a sudden, check the fan belt, and the A/C fuse. These are the most likely culprits. If the fuse is blown, the clutch on the A/C compressor may have gone bad, and should be looked at.

Power to ac clutch fuse no power at clutch on 03 leSabre

If your AC system is otherwise operational, it may just need to be charged. The compressor will not come on unless there is sufficient charge/pressure in the system. So, first thing to check is the amount of charge in the system. You can purchase a gauge , similar to a tire gauge, that will give a reading of the system's charge. The gauge hooks up to the low pressure side ,or the larger diameter hose/line, same as where you place the re-charge hose. Again, if the system is operational, as you charge it, the compressor should kick in. At first, it will cycle on and off until the system reaches sufficient pressure.
Hope this helps...

Ac short on 2001 saturn l200. ac won't cool. was told buy couple of mech that is electrical. I was told is was fuse block. How can i replace it?

Does the A/C compressor run or does it blow the A/C fuse in the under hood fuse box?? If it's blowing the fuse you might have a bad A/C diode located in the underhood fuse block. It looks like a black fuse with a diagram on top of it.Pull it out & replace it & see if the problem is gone. These L series are notorius for having compressor problems, locking up,clutch coils going open.hope this helps
