One of them the PCM - engine computer gives power too- first when key turned on , two second prim ,then when engine is cranking , PCM has to see a signal from the crank sensor . Applying power where it shouldn't be can fry the PCM .

SOURCE: no power in fuse box for fuel pump

If there is no power to the fuse block then there has to be a main relay check that to see if it is blown. it is usualy located in the fuse block undr the hood.

3.5l V6 Auto. Why is there no power at the fuel pump?

Just answered a similar question. Does it turn over? Either way, I would look for blown fuse and then check (usually) under the hood for a relay. You can some times test by taking another relay for lights or something not needed to run and switch them IF THEY ARE EXACTLY the same. If the pu,p works you will know.

How to use volt meter on 1987 chevy v10 custom deluxe with v6 4.3l engine?

The pump relay has 5 wires or terminals.
You may not be able to see the wires under the fuse box so this may not help much without being there in person.
The green and white wire is power from the computer to activate the relay.
The red wire is a test line to power the pump from the battery.
The orange wire is power for the pump thru the relay.
The black and white is a ground for the relay.
And the gray wire is the line to the pump.
You would use the meter to check for power from the computer when you turn the key on - it should power the relay for 3 seconds.
Then check for power from the key switch on the orange wire with the key switch on.
You should be able to jumper the red wire to a power source and make the pump run.
The relay has a diagram on the side that shows the switch and magnet inside with the terminals numbered.

1999 malibu dash lights and running light are out and its not my fuses and i checks the bulbs and replaced the light switch no luck?

could be several problems. a ground wire could have broke and so it cannot turn on, their is a relay that runs the running lights and the dash lights. so when you turn your headlights on the relay shuts the rinning lights off. or a wire plug came loose. as for the service light bring it to o reilly auto parts they will service that light for free -in hopes you need a part and buy it from them-

No power to fuel pump on 99 chevy venture

If you do not have power on the GRAY wire at the fuel pump.........
switch the fuel relay with a same type good relay in the relay box and check for power again.
REMEMBER ...YOU WILL ONLY HAVE POWER 2 OR 3 SECONDS AT PUMP AFTER KEY IS TURNED TO RUN POSITION......after key has been off for 10 seconds.(or when there is oil pressure)
If no power in the gray wire at this point and you have checked ALL fuses in engine compartment and on right (pass ) side of dash panel facing pass door.......add your own jumper to supply power to system at fuel pump fuse and test again.........if power at pump now....install a permanent jumper (SWITCHED POWER....OFF WITH KEY) at fuse box......if still no power check all connections between fuse box and pump.....or run new power feed wire to pump gray wire and disconnect old.
