Since you fixed the fault by scan advice and was ok and on testdrive another limp mode came up, just check again with your scan to see what is the possible cause for it. Probably the crank sensor.

SOURCE: Battery drained completely BMW E90 2005 model

Connect your old battery with another battery from another car (WHILE KEEPING ALL CABLES CONNECTED ON BOTH CARS) just user a bridge cable otherwise you'll need. a code to reactivate your BMW again. Try now to start your BMW engine. Now go to the nearest battery dealer to change the battery WHILE KEEPING YOUR ENGINE ON, otherwise you'll need a code to activate your BMW again :)

Good Luck!

SOURCE: how to reset service light for BMW e90 320i in

This is for 2001 onwards :

- Iginition OFF (POS 0) with key in.

- Press and Hold the trip odometer button while turning key to position 1 (ACCESSORY)

- Keep the button depressed (about 5 secs.) until you see "Oil Service" or "Inspection" with "Reset" or "Re" in the display

- *Note: On vehicles with "High" cluster, you will also see the amount of fuel (in litres) remaining until next service

- Press the button again and hold for approx. 5 secs. until "Reset" or "Re" flashes

- While the display is flashing, briefly press the button again to reset the Service Interval. After the display has shown the new interval you should see "END SIA" for about 2 secs.

Note that if the "Reset" or "Re" does not flash, then you have not met the minimum consumption level and cannot reset.

SOURCE: hi; my bmw 320i e90

The smoke is blue, correct?
When you changed the oil separator, did you clean out the hose that goes from the valve cover to the oil separator?
The next suspect for smoking at idle would be the intake valve seals, but that would be the first time that I ever heard of a problem there.

SOURCE: My bmw 320i e90 2005 only cranks but won't start

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

Bmw e90 is on limp mode, where can i take it except the dealership? what to do? because it goes

You may get lucky and find a non-dealership repair shop that can do the repairs, but the dealer is more likely to know what they're doing with that car.

Bmw 320i timing

There is no adjustment for the timing of the ignition. It is totally controlled by the computer. For the cams you need a little jig to position the cams when you are working on the timing chain

Timing settings for bmw e90 320i

The timing is set by the engine computer. It uses the crank position sensor. There is nothing you need to do unless you want to change the mapping of the engine.
