High speed and heavy braking will produce a pulsation in the pedal
that is the abs working properly and the pulsations are the brake release and reapplying
intermittent abs light indicates a wire or wheel sensor problem at one of the wheels

SOURCE: Brake pedal pulsates when appling brakes

If the new rotors were not allow to seat after replacement they will warp extremely easily. Easy to check. Remove wheel and check for trueness of rotor, a dead give away is if you see a blueish tint on the rotor.

SOURCE: ABS braking

have you check? the master cylinder. sometine when you get the rotors cut they dont come out right because they may be warped or to thin. if you did the job yourself you might have put the calipers in on the wrong side. this happens alot . if your rotors front and rear are fine then switch the calipers to the other side.

SOURCE: Spongy brake pedal even after ABS bleed and base brake bleed.

Did you adjust the rear shoes out? If the rear drum brakes are out of adjustment they will give you a lot of pedal travel. If the pads are worn have no fear of that U-CLIP brake spring, just change one shoe at a time. Take the spring off one side, change the shoe, put the spring back on the post and do the same to the other shoe, no problem.

Why are my brakes locking up and grinding whenever i hit a bump or uneven surface while braking?

Sounds like you have a speed sensor signal dropping out. This would cause the ABS system to falsely think one of the wheels has locked up and would turn on the abs to unlock the wheel.

You can visually check the wiring harnesses to the speed sensors to see if there are any corroded connections, corroded wires or broken wires. If everything looks good than the next step would be to drive it with a scan tool and watch ABS data. You should be able to spot the speed sensors that drops out on the scan tool when the problem occurs. Than you can focus on that wheel to see what the problem is.

My rear end chatters around corners and if im pulling a trailer my abs light and the wrench shaped light will come on in my 2004 f150 fx4 supercrew

If you have a locking rear diff,it could be the clutches on the side gears or lack of fluid and special additive. Sounds like the wheel speed is off enough on corner,to set the ABS light, when it chatters. Don't over look parking brake and rear caliper issues.

1996 Ford Explorer XLT abs light comes on on

The ABS light is for the Anti-lock Braking System. The MIL will illuminate if there is a difference in wheel speed sensors signals to the PCM. So you might have a wheel speed sensor that is going out on you. Does the light come on at low speeds, or just higway speeds? You could take the vehicle to a local parts store and have them pull the codes for you and that will tell you which speed sensor is out of whack. Also road grime, dirt and gunk buildup can cause speed sensors to give false readings. Hope tihs helps you out.......

How do you change the rotors on a 2002 F150 Supercrew? Are there instructions I can look up?

Most F-150s only need the wheel removed, the brake caliper removed (and suspended by a wire to avoid breaking the brake line) and a light hit with a hammer.

Anti-Lock brake light and traction off light came on

U have most likely damaged a wheel sensor ring, in order to ID the one you damaged u will need to have the ABS/TRACTION CONTROL system tested for trouble codes, this will lead to the right area for repair.
