See Figure 2

  1. Remove the mirror cover screw and lift the cover and pivot the mirror towards the window.
  2. Remove the mirror to door bolts and remove the mirror and seal from the door.
  3. To install, position the mirror and seal to the door and install the retaining bolts.
  4. Pivot the mirror away from the window, and lower the mirror cover.
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Hope this helps .. if not feel free to contact me

SOURCE: driver side mirror 2004 Pontiac Grand Am

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

I need to replace broken driver side mirror 1997 yukon i need to remove just the glass not housing?

Yes the glass element just pops out and the new one pops in. No need to replace the whole mirror or even take it off. Pull evenly as it will take some force to free the ball sockets it is attached to from the power motor.

2004 navigator driver's mirror not working

The first thing to do is have the mirror control switch tested, remove the switch from the door panel and proble it with a 12 volt test light as you operate the different functions of the p[ower side mirrors, if that is ok then replace the mirror.

How do I remove and replace the power side mirror switch on my 2003 Yukon Denali XL?

2003 GMC Yukon - My power mirrors stopped working.... all fuses have been checked and they are all good. Any ideas? These are the power folding mirrors. The function that allows you to fold them in for car washes etc still works.... they just will not adjust when you change drivers, or when you try to adjust them with the controls. Any ideas would be appreciated!
