Pinpoint Test H: LFC 33 and 34/DTC B2292 - Restraint System - Safety Belt Pretensioner Status
Normal Operation
The restraints control module (RCM) checks all of the safety belt pretensioners for faults. If the RCM detects one of the following faults on any of the safety belt pretensioner circuits, it will store diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B2292 in memory and flash either lamp fault code (LFC) 33 or 34 depending on the fault (or higher priority code if one exists) on the air bag indicator.
Fault Conditions
The RCM monitors for the following fault conditions:
Possible Causes
A safety belt pretensioner status fault can be caused by:

what other year than a 1994 will fit on a 1994 lincoln towncar
SOURCE: Look up the code 634 Lincoln Town Car 1994
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) of 634 that you recieved is telling you the the sensor on the transmission that is for the gear shifter detected that it isn't/didn't indicate that the vehicle was in "Park". The picture above is what it looks like and is mounted on the lower left side of the transmission. When you shift it into neutral it should have a line on the moving part and a line on that main part the doesn't move. They the two lines/marks should match up. I would check the lines and make sure you're getting a good connection on the plug. If the lines are not on the sensor it may be an aftermarket one and it has been replaced before (older car). If that is the case and/or the line match up, there are a number of other tests to perform to check to see if you are dealing with a faulty sensor or a wiring problem. If interested in those other ones you can reply/comment here or feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will be happy to help....Hope this helped....
