On my 2002 Santa Fe the shift cable needs to be tightened. How can I do this?
SOURCE: Emergency brake on a 2002 Caravan
There should be a cable running underneath the car along the rear axle from one wheel to the other that connects to the cable running to the front emergency brake handle.
Follow the cable until you find the adjustment screws and turnbuckle on the cable.
Loosen the screws holding the turnbuckle tight.
Adjust the turnbuckle until the cable is tight.
Test the brake handle and readjust if necessary.
Some cars have auto adjusting rear brakes which will sometimes re-seat by running in reverse and pushing on the brake several times. Try this first!
If none of the above works, you will have to take off the rear wheels and adjust the brakes manual at the wheel hub.

SOURCE: What is the minimum rear brake rotor thickness for
.331 (In thousandths of an inch) If brake rotor measures at or under this
specification, it must be discarded. That's if you have the V6 and 2WD. IF that's not what you have check here

If that doesn't work got to the autozone website and click repair info then click specification, then brakes and then minimal maching.
