How do you replace the evap. purge valve solenoid on 2005 kia sportage

The canister purge valve is a computer controlled solenoid valve that allows any stored fuel vapors in the charcoal canister to be recycled back into the engine combustion process. The valve is typically located on or near the throttle body. The canister purge valve is controlled by the power train control module (PCM). The canister purge valve is closed each time the power train computer runs the OBD-II (Onboard Diagnostic Generation II) EVAP monitoring self-test.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need to change the transmission modulator valve on a 2003 Chevy Impala. I need help with the location of the valve and even steps on how to change it. Thanks

Hello, the 2003 impala's dont have a transmission modulator valve. this transmission is electronic controlled by the power train control module. the transmission uses a pressure control sol. inside the transmission instead of a vac. operated modulator valve. if you are having a late harsh shifting problem, this would be more in the area of a pressure control sol. at fault

We could assuming that you ask about location? For 1996 Chevrolet Caprice 5.7L SFI OHV 8cyl the Engine Control Computer is located under hood, driver side, upper engine area, mounted on side of air filter housing. If this is right, confirm us or send us additional details and description about your wrong.

Where is the speedometer relay in a 1996 chevrolet van?

There is no speedometer relay. The speedometer input is provided from the vehicle speed sensor that is located in the tailshaft portion of the transmission.
This input is also used by the power train control module (or PCM) and is used as an input for transmission shifting.

What is a tcm

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The TCM means Transmission Control Module which is part of the PCM or Power Train Control Module and is located in front of the left front tire. You can access it by removing the fender liner.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.
