I had my v/c replaced but not my altenator for the recall on 2009 santa fe. My car is in the garage and they say my altenator is bad with oil in it and my v/c is leaking oil. Do they fix it again.

SOURCE: how to replace timing belt in 2001 santa fe. What

That depends on if the front motor mount is blocking half of the timing belt . Then you have to have the motor lifted out to change the timing belt . Now that just added at least another 2 hours to the labour hours. In all honesty, now you are looking at a 4 to 6 hours of total work . Now , do you know if it is a timing belt or a timing chain. Timing belt, yes will take about 4 to 6 hours , but a timing chain will take over 8 hours because it is inside the motor.

SOURCE: 2002 hyundai santa fe , what is an open recall,

There is NO open recall on the Santa Fe, However, there is one on the 1999-2004 SONATA (EF) and 2001-2004 XG300/XG350 (XG) vehicles that are registered and operated in specified “salt belt” states may exhibit corrosion damage to the subframe assembly. If specified levels of corrosion damage have occurred as described in this bulletin, replace the front subframe with a new subframe that incorporates additional holes in the upper and lower panels. If a front subframe does not require replacement, add drainage holes and treat the subframe with rust-proofing material.

My Santa Fe loses exceleration, if you push on gas, it will not go any faster, usually about 20 miles. When diagnosed got code p2135. I was told there was a recall by hyundai for this. Is this right

Hello, There is not a recall for this issue, but there is a TSB (technical safety bulletin) by Hyundai for this issue that you are having with your vehicle for the code that was set. What this consists of is replacement of the throttle position sensor and performing an ECU software upgrade for the vehicles computer. The process usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour to perform at a Hyundai service department. If you are the original owner of the vehicle or it has less than 60,000 miles, this repair procedure is no cost to the owner. Hope this info helps. Gabe
