If you are talking about just plugging into the speed sensor yes. A VTEC and NON-VTEC are one and the same.

The input and output speed sensors look identical on the connector side. The one over the solenoid pack is the input, the one closer to the left frame rail or left front wheel is the output sensor. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: flaky transmission range sensor connector

I'm not sure if it can be. Lots of these newer connectors are sold as , you know, only complete and you splice it in. Is it bad on the switch side or the body harness side of the connector? Heck, if it's just to the back-up bulbs, you could connect the two wires together outside of the connector, and bypass the connector problem on that one wire. That would be the easiest fix, as long as the other pin connections are good
Now on the older removeable spade type connectors, you slip a fine wire or needle along the top of the metal pin to push down a little tang, and then the wire and pin will pull out from back of the plastic connector.
Well, good luck, Bill.

My 2003 mazda protege abs and brakes light stays on. why .i havs the scanner plug in and it keep deteting that there is a error in the systom and it dosnt give me any reading. thanks

Most likely a wheel speed sensor or the wiring that connects to it. Check all four wheels to see if there is a wire connector that has a wire missing or broken.

Show me where the speed sensor are on the 2001 hyundai

There are two sensors. The output speed sensor and input speed sensor. It may be on top of the Trans, a small sensor with a 2 wire connector pluged into it. There will be another that looks the same, this is the input speed sensor. The one of these closest to the crankshaft is the input speed sensor, the one a little higher and closer to the axle is the output speed sensor. Should be a 10mm bolt that bolts striaght down and holds the sensor in.

If it is not this, the the input and output speed sensor will come together and you will need to lift up the front left corner and take that tir and plastic guard off. The input and output sensors will be connected and easy to access from there, they will be connected by a wire that runs up by the transmission mount across to the other side and has a connector right there on the front side of the transmission.
--------------- This will help.Thanks. Helpmech.

Transmission input output speed sensors

The speed sensor is on the tailshaft of the transmission,on the passenger side of the car,it has 3 wires. The output sensors are located on the front of the transmission about mid-way up the housing & only have 2 wires. Note the output sensors are not responsible for vehicle speed. Only the output shaft speed is recorded. They are for finding the correct cvi(clutch volume index) only. If you have a cvi issue, the transmission is toast.

Road speed sensor

So the diagnostic code says the speed sensor is bad in the transmission? Make sure all the wires are tight to the transmission and in good shape. If they are you probably need to replace the sensor. If the transmission controller doesn't get the correct speed values it would cause some problems shifting. Wiring to a transmission can cause faults since the wires are subjected to heat and vibration. If you can't find any problems with the wiring or the wiring connectors it just might be the sensor is bad (stuff fails).
I do have to say that I am not sure what G-68 means. The diagnostic codes are usually five digit numbers with maybe a letter.
