SOURCE: how to check transmission fluid on 2001 isuzu rodeo

There is no dipstick on your auto trans. Checking it is a real PITA The trans pan has 2 plugs in it. The one on the very bottom is the drain. The one in the corner, up higher in a recess is the check/fill plug. To check, the engine must be warm and running, tranny in P. Remove the plug and fluid should dribble out. If it doesn't it's low, fill until it dribbles out, while engine is running. Obviously the truck must be on a lift or up on jackstands.

SOURCE: 2001 ISUZU RODEO, FAN SWITCH FOR A/C WORKS

I have the same problem with my 2001 Isuzu Rodeo LS. I took the climate control out of the dash and found that the fan switch had got hot and melted the contacts. I purchased another used unit and installed it. A year later it stopped working again. This time I took it apart and the entire module inside the dash had melted. I am going to splice in a new set of wires to the fan switch, pick up another used climate control unit, and trade off the thing. Its apparent its a defect.

2001 holden rodeo air conditioning broken, broken fan belt, suitable fanbelt to bypass aircon

Use the same belt as the ac compressor will not work unless you turn it on. Disconnect the wire to the ac pulley clutch and the pulley just becomes an idler and you can get the standard belt anywhere.

Need diagram to install serpentine belt

Look at the pullies to see if they are smooth or if they have lines on then. The back side of the belt the ( smooth side) goes against the smooth pullies. The side with lines on it goes to the other pullies. Some vehicles have the diagran in the engine compartment. Under the hood or by the top of the radiater.

Serpentine belt install 2001 isuzu rodeo 2wd 4cylinder auto

I believe that you need a 14MM or 15 MM wrench a long one would be the best since the spring is hard to move. There should be a nut on the tensioner pully #6 on the picture below. This is where you need to move the tensioner with one hand and pull the belt off with the other. It might be easier with 2 people. Remember the belt routing it will help when installing the new belt. Good luck.
