Which actuator controls what? There are 4 actuators (that I've found) in my 2002 Envoy. Question is, which one controls what? There are three on the drivers side and one on the passengers side?

No heat/ air to feet. Then I replaced the actuator and now I have cool Air / passengers side., heat drivers side. The actuators seem to cycle (fully left then right) but are not fully controlled by the digital climent control.

SOURCE: removal of heater control switch on rh side of dashboard.

the panel just pops out it has clips holding it in, you might want to pull the side panel off just in case there is a 7mm screw holding it in but that should only be for the radio removal, i have a question for you, how did you replace that actuator and did that solve your problem, my car does the same thing and i already replaced the switch, and te climate control panel, thanks.

SOURCE: With AC on cold, Drivers air full hot & passenger side full Cold

that is a good possibilty, but before I pulled the trigger I would try this first. unhook the battery for 5 minutes, rehook it, now turn the key on, wait for 2 minutes, now start the truck and see if the doors now work. sometimes this works, its worth a try.

Testimonial: "Thank You, Temp. Cont. operates ok. A computer reboot on a truck works the same as on commerical aircraft system (reset system). hopefully no refault"

SOURCE: Air conditioner blows hot air after 30 seconds on

I have had this problem. I am not a mechanic...so to correct the issue temporarily, I simply turn off the car and restart. This has worked everytime for me. In extreme cases, I think you can also remove the AC fuse and start the car, which will also reset the computer. I also think that by taking the climate control off the "AUTO" setting has worked in the past.

Loud clicking noise not all of the air ducts blow air

I have to replace the actuators on Tblazers and Evoys all the time, usually the fresh air or blend door actuators but sometimes it ends up being the mode actuator which on some models is a little harder. Find which button on the control panel effects the clicking, usually made easier after the noise has stopped.Find which control button starts it back clicking

Actuator was replaced and now transmission is slipping

When you actuator, I assume you mean the one for the front drive splined disconnect. This would not cause transmission slippage. With your mileage, the transmission is due for an overhaul.

Went to replace passenger side blend door actuator, (2002 GMC Envoy) but actuator is ok, shaft that goes to door only turns about 1/8 turn- needs to turn 1/4 turn. what can I do?

Try system reboot. Disconnect engine battery for two minutes, reconnect and turn the ignition key to the 'on' position and wait two minutes for the system to recalibrate actuators.

After disconnecting the battery the passenger side blows hot while the driver sdie blows cold. Does anybody have a answer for this problem?

Unfortunately, you have come across a common problem on these vehicle when the battery power is interrupted. One of your Temperature Control Actuators (or its associated door) has failed. Attached is a diagram of the HVAC unit and the location of the actuators 9With part numbers). Some of these actuators are difficult to get to without disassembling the dash. The Driver's side actuator can be accessed from under the dash.

I have a 2002 GMC Envoy with auto climate control. It won't change the air from the floor to the dash vents when requested. There are times when the air will come out of the dash and the tempera

the load ratcheting sound is likely the mode door actuator. It is contains a small motor with gears that turns the mode door to the various positions. Those gears can strip and cause the noise you hear. It is fairly simple to look and feel around under the dash to locate these actuators. There are a minimum of three depending on what climate control you have. There will be one for the temperature control, one for the mode control and one for the fresh air control.

2002 GMC Envoy Blower fan seems to work fine but little air coming from the vents. It seems like the air is spread throughout all the vents including defroster. Where should I start?

The problem is most likely one or more of the mode control actuators or the doors that they drive. Sometimes the doors bind or else the actuator gears break. Unfortunately, these parts are not that easy to get to. Some of the parts can be accessed from under the dash after removing some panels, others are buried. Attached is a diagram of their locations.

2002 GMC envoy will not go in 4wd (new switchand new actuator)

Have your Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) checked out. Take it to a shop that has a Tech II or equivilant diagnostic machine that will be able to communicate with the TCCM and dial down where the actual problem is.

No heat on drivers side, blowers work right just blowing cold air on the drivers side, getting heat everywhere except the drivers side has dual heat controls.

Hi, there are electric actuators that control the doors for air blend. There is a door for each side, and an actuator for each side. Most likely, the actuator is faulty. The only way to know for sure , is have the hvac system scanned, as this may be slightly costly, and electrical parts are generally not returnable. Good luck...Coop
