SOURCE: engine number location for 2002 audi a4

is it a 1.8 turbo or 2.8 V6 or 2.7 biturbo V6 ? on most models what you will be looking for is a 3 letter code like ATQ or APW and is normally on a sticker on the timing belt cover, it is also stamped into the engine on a ledge up high. if no luck there check the owners manual, around the 3rd page there will be a sticker that was put in the book during predelivery inspection this sticker is about 3 inches by 3 inches and filled with id codes for almost everything. If the pdi wasn't done right another copy of the same sticker will be under or next to the spare tire in the spare tire well.

SOURCE: where can we locate the engine number of hyundai sonata model 99

It is either a 2.4L 4 cylinder, or a 2.5L V6. I double checked with Hyundai and this is all they show to offer for 1999. If you are still unsure, check how many spark wires you have, 4 or 6, and this will tell you how many cylinders you have. Hope this helps.

Should i replace audi 2008 a4 thermostat along with timing belt and water pump 120,000 miles

I would - but the timing belt would be overdue at 120K if a 2.0L engine. From the service interval linked below:

"At 110K miles (175,000 km) replace timing belt (2.0L engine only). Check condition of timing belt tensioning system, dampening pulleys, and idler pulleys and replace if necessary (2.0L engine only)."

Knocking sound

Depending on what Audi says about fuel required to run your engine. Regular fuel could cause you problems in regards to engine pinging and noises. If you have your owners manual, check and see what fuel or OCTANE quality Audi states should be run through your engine.

If your not sure what I mean by Octane, I'll explain it. Octane is a rating given to a fuel, the higher the rating the better ignition within the cylinders of your engine.

Next time your at your local gas station look at your pumps, and you'll see numbers under Regular probably around 89. But the more expensive fuel has a number like 94. This is why you pay more for the fuel. This number is stating that it burns cleaner and more efficent. This may be what your car requires, that the engineers at AUDI say is required to properly run your engine.

However, make sure that your oil level in your engine isn't over filled this could also cause vehicle back fire, popping noises. But so could a lot of things, hole in your exhaust, near catalyatic converter. Hope I've given you some help.
