Removing front seats isn't hard as long as your fitting seats that have the same rail mounts.
There are four bolts. One at each end of the sliding rails. Two front end and two rear end. You will probably have to slide the seat forward for the two rear bolts and back for the front bolts. Some makers might have small trim covers hiding the bolts.

This sounds like it could be either the C/V (constant velocity) joint boot cracked and oozing grease, or the axle seal on the transmission could be damaged. If just for peace of mind, have this checked out as soon as possible. These are not costly repairs, now, but if delayed they could be VERY costly. Anything transmission related should be checked ASAP.

With the car on ground, break loose the drive-axle nut, and the wheel nuts , than jack up the car, support it properly, remove the wheel ,remove the axle-nut.
Remove the brake caliper assembly-- support it properly.
Remove the two bolts that hold the hub bracket to the Macpherson strut assemble, remove the lower arm ball joint and remove the steering tie- rod ball-joint attached to the hub bracket. That's it.Slide off the hub /with the bracket off the drive-shaft.
Follow steps backwards to assemble back.
