SOURCE: 1994 gmc sierra 4x4 350cu inch auto trans engine coolant gurgling

I have seen this many times before. The sound is air being forced out of the radiator cap and escaping back into the coolant recovery bottle. It can be as simple as a new radiator cap or as costly as cylinder head crack, or even block cracked. It is important that your radiator be completely full with proper coolant mix and have a good working order cap with the proper pressure.

Yes I know how to replace the evaporator core. It involves getting into the passenger side dash because it is pretty much where the heater core is for the heating system

There is no replacing of the inlet outlets on a heater core. You will have to replace the heater core.

Go under the truck and remove the electric shift control and manually shift back to high gear. You will need to replace that bad shift control module.

Can evaporator core cause engine to run hot?

No.
The evaporator for the ac would have nothing to do with the engine coolant.

Directions on how to change evaportor core on 1994 gmc sierra truck , thank you

the big black plastic box on the right side of the truck under the hood is the place where the evaporator is located. evacuate the a/c system, disconnect the hoses going to the black box, then remove the evap housing(the black box) from the firewall. be careful when separating the box because the plastic is brittle and it cracks and breaks easily. once apart the evaporator can be removed.

Sounds like the evaporator core has sprung a leak. On a scale of 1 to 10 this one has a 6 rating on difficulty.
