The sensor is the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) located in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter
bank 1 is closest to the fire wall

SOURCE: P0102, P0172 codes

It sounds like the maf isn't communicating with the computer. Causing the fuel mixture to be to rich, tailpipe is probably black with soot. I would check the connection for corrosion and clean it well with some electrical contact cleaner, and then use some dielectric grease on it before reconnecting it. If that doesn't solve it check the harness for a bad wire (burnt or worn through insulation or a short). If you have a scan tool reset the computer or just disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes to erase the codes. They dont clear until the system cycles quite a few times without any codes coming up. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: how to replace the cabin air filter on the gx470

open the glove box, grasp it firmly and pull straight up on one side and then the other. the box will unsnap from the hinge, once loose lower the box gently and let it hang from the tension cord. behind the box you will see a cover with release clips. remove the cover. pull the filter and tray straight out. be sure to replace the filter proper side up, it will be marked. reassemble.

How can i solve the code p0172 ?

You have changed all the things that have no effect on the root cause of P0172. You need a new Fuel/Air Sensor. Your ECM is showing that the fuel air mixture is too rich, so it is reducing the fuel that is going into the engine. That causes the ECM to compensate by running the engine lean and that causes overheating. Buy a Denso sensor, they are the best.

2007 Volvo S80 T6 3.2L OBD Code P0057 Bank 2 Sensor 2 won't clear and Code P0172 came back, have changed the oil diffuser cover and both O2 downstream sensors, need help ASAP

changed the wrong sensors
the code (p0057)refers to the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) which is in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter
code p 0172 refers to system too rich bank bank 1===causes ---intake blocked ---EVAP canister purge valve --- fuel pressure---EGR systems ---injector/s---HO2S
If you replace the HO2S sensor/s then that will [robably fix all codes
the heated oxygen sensor reads the exhayst gas and reports to the ECM to adjust the air /fuel ratio to get the engine to run within parameters
when it is not working , it runs lean or rich

I have a 2000 Lexus rx300 with a code p1130. what is the location of the sensor causing this code ?

That code doesn't mean any sensor is defective, it can be the sensor, problems with the engine or a faulty fuel injector or the wiring or the engine control computer that triggered the fault.

Air sensor check engine light

Ok as a guess that you have a SUV and you have different air faults. if you are a DYI'er go to an auto parts store and get an error code tool. Harbor freight for $30-50. Hook it to the car and find out which sensor is it calling for. Note, you can reset the check engine light on most tools that are not the cheapest.

basically its o2 sensors if your mechanically inclined its a good weekend job to tackle yourself and safe a couple hundred dollars in labour, you would need to invest in an o2 socket and some pbblaster penetrating lubricant to get them out..hope this helps you and dont forget to rate if it does help thanks

The car doesn't have power when hit the gas pedal speed pick up really slow also have code of 171 sistem too lean on bank one, lexus 2000 rx 300

this code sets when air fuel ratio feedback is stable after engine warm up,and fuel trim is considerably in error on lean side; The signal from air fuel ratio sensor is approximatelyproportional to existing air-fuel ratio.

for this code suspect excessive lean condition, normal rangefor total trim is between -35% to +35%,DTC uses "two-trip detection Logic".

Check system for intake leaks, incorrect fuel pressure, plugged fuel injectors,O2 sensor or coolant sensor operation.

check air-fuel ratio sensors
to do it you need to check them with a good scanner tool.

also,check MAF sensor operation.

personally i would clean with the special spray for MAF sensor (you can get it from you autoparts store) and try a fuel injector cleaner before start spending money in shops.

hope this info can help you.
