I suggest you try one of those instant download manuals. My brother ( a mechanic) buys when he
can't fix some technical issue with the manual at www.reliable-store.com . A lot of mechanics actually do this. Website is very good for this. Must try it !!

On the 2003 diesel pajero the orange light comes on after driving for about 30 minutes in the middle of the green 4 wheels indecator

Hi Alan,
usually a "false flag" message. The diffs have sensors to tell what state they are in. If there is a mismatch between what the sensor tells and what the gear lever state actually is, it will flash.
Diff sensors can malfunction because of dirt/oxidation and give a wrong reading. On the center diff the sensor is on top of the box, under the car floor. Hard to get at!

Where is the reversing switch on a mitshubushi shogun warrior

Hi Jan.
The Reverse light Switch is on the Gear box and if I am not wrong is on the right side between the gear box and the transfer box with wires on. Most common thing on Mitsubishi Shogun the reverse light switch is leaking oil and surely you will find it oil wet.

good luck.

Ford mondeo faults

the flashing orange light is the glowplug light that telling you there is a engine managment problem. you need to get the fault code out of the engine control module with a obd code reader to determine the cause but the common cause of the flashing glow plug warning is a air leak after the turbo charger

Centre diff warning light flashing constantly, also stability programme light showing "off"

The centre diff is the vehicle's transfer case, the gearbox which switches to 4wd or all wheel drive. It is inter active with the stability system, so when on senses a fault, it'll send an error message to the other system. Have it checked by a technician who can plug in a scanner that will help pinpoint the source of the problem.

4wd light keeps flashing on 2003 mitsubishi challenger

Hi Adstew,
the front diff has a sensor telling the control unit it when it is engaged (or not). It probably is, and it won't disengage. or the sensor is stuck. The selector lever tells the control unit you want 2WD but the sensor thinks the front axle is engaged. So it flashes.
When shifting to 2WD, normally the front axle will come free after a load change or a bit of turning the steering from side to side, but it sometimes happens that it gets stuck. You can find out:
lift the car free off ground, then select drive forward in 2WD. If the front wheels do not turn, then the sensor may be faulty or stuck. if the front wheels turn in 2WD mode, the diff is stuck and the sensor tells you so. Same or similar problem can happen with the center diff, by the way, on pajero/montero, etc.
regards
Winfried, the perfessa

Mitsubishi shogun has transmission warning light

if the shift is being made and the car is in gear it will not change ,in some cases it is necesary to reverse a few times to allow shifts to occur if this still fails you could have a sticky solonoid ,these are mounted on the r/f inner guard there are two of the next to each other make sure there is vacume at the solonoids as the car will allways fail in 4wd mode it requires vacume to allow it to disengage the front diff on start up,that is why there is a grinding noise if you switch off the motor and free wheel to a stop the front diff tries to engage

4x4 indicator light flashes continuesly

Hi, on the front axle is the actuator for the free wheel hub. This actuator works with vacuum. You will need to establish if you have sufficient vacuum on the actuator. You should have vacuum on one side of the actuator in 4x2 mode and then the vacuum should change to the other side when 4x4 mode is selected. If your vacuum is fine and the actuator moves far enough, then you should look at the freewheel sensor situated on the front diff. The sensor might be faulty which gives the control unit the wrong info.
