There is no port. Nissan uses a switch on the ecu to set the thing into diagnosis mode. It's too complicated to explain here, but once you understand how it works, it's not hard to obtain codes. No hookups for obd testing, the codes are flashed out by the CEL or else by the led lights on the ecu case. You would need the specific procedure for the '90 maxima. Nissan kept changing procedures from one year to the next.

No OBD port, but that means you don't need to buy a gizmo to plug in- your car can tell you the diagnostic codes all by itself.

This page shows where to find the box with the diagnostic switch and lights, and there are a couple of discussions of the procedure to read the codes. I wouldn't bother with the Autozone link on that page, their site no longer works the same way.

check engine light on one second then off Maxima Forums

OBD ports HAVE TO BE within 3 feet of the steering column.
3 feet means some are just on the other side of the center transmission shifter area. Yours may be in the fuse box in the lower dash.

SOURCE: 1990 nissan maxima trunk release switch

Actually, this car has security system that prevent the trunk opened without using the master key. I often use this to lock my trunk. Just slid up the tiny lever upward to allow the trunk open from inside. the lever is on the back trunk (in the center, behind the Tail light) where the trunk door hook up with the lock system.
Cheers..

SOURCE: location of a o2 sensor 2001 nissan maxima

bank 1 refers to the side of the engine that #1 cylinder is on , and sensor 2 refers to downstream , after the catalytic converter. , this link shows bank 1 on a 2001 nissan maxima V6 being on the firewall side . if you had a 4 cylinder it would be downstream after the catalytic converter .

SOURCE: Speed sensor location on a Nissan Maxima 2000 GXE...

There are two speed sensors one is called a revolution sensor that is located on the case of the transmission. You can take the driver side wheel off and see the sensor on the top of the case of the transmission. A 10mm bolt is holding it in. Easy fix
