Drivers door will not open. It is locked and all rods are connected and function as designed. manual lock lever moves and you can hear it work but door lock will not release. Power lock button quit working and dome light suddenly stays on.
Hit the door at the door latch area with a rubber hammer from the outside just as you move the lock lever to unlock,You may have to do this a few times but this usually does the trick.
DO NOT lock this door until you have corrected the sticky lock problem now that it is unlocked!

This is what I found out. The problem was with the power lock portion of the part (siezed). It is also sealed and unserviceable. The good news is that the part was in stock at the dealer for around 65.00. Actually pretty amazing considering how many parts there are to the device. After disassembling the door three times (once to diagnose, once to take apart and disable the power lock function, and one last time to swap out mechanism) I became fairly quick at it. If you have this problem, just go buy the part and don't mess around. Oh yeah-you'll need a torx bit to get started.....

Passenger side of the fender under the hood - check the fuse relay box - about $12.00 a piece - they do go bad from time to time.
exchange the power lock relay with another one and test the locks.
then put the relay back and go to the autostore.

I had the same problem with my 2005 dodge ram 3500 and found the wires were being pinched that run through the rubber boot on my right rear door. I had this fixed by dodge but there splice didn't last, so I took some 16ga wire and spliced it into the wire that operates the power door lock on that side and it fixed the problem. Dodge service shop did a sad job of splicing the wires back together by twisting the wires together and tape and wire broke.

I had a very similar situation. Was very annoying not being able to unlock or lock doors from pannel control nor from remote.
Only driver door can be opened with manual key.
Solution: One of the 15 amp purple fuses was blown. Fuses are located inside glove compartment, the interior end has to be removed releasing the two locks.
Use a light and the red tool located on the panel to remove fuses.
