I have a 97 Ford Taurus Wagon 3.0L OHC. I was driving home from work the other day and the oil light came on. I immediately pulled over and checked the oil. It was on the low end so I filled it up to just below the full mark. I continued driving and the oil light stayed on. About a minute later the engine shut down. No grinding, knocking or any other kind of noise. Must have been a safety feature. The car will not start now. I turn the key and hear "click" and that’s it.
What would most likely be the cause? The oil pressure sensor or the oil pump? Thanks for any help.

No. All you hear is a single click sound.
So the whole oil thing is just a coincidence?
when you turn the key does the motor turn over or not?
put whatever size socket on the bolt hold the harmonic balancer on and try to turn it clock wise if it doesnt want to turn try counter clockwise if it still wont turn your motor is locked up
