SOURCE: 1999 ss camero Rat ate fuel line, tried to

make sure you getting fuel, you can check it buy turning the engine over couple of time and press on the gas pedle and flood the engine a bit and see if you can smell the gas fume. you can take the coil to auto zone and have it bench test making sure it good and it free. assumed the wires, plugs, coils are good than it will be the cam sensor has fail. cam sensor is a unit which sense the turning of the cam as it send single to the computer (ECU) as than the computer telling the coil to disperse the sparks from the coil. the unit run around 68 bucks, you can order it from auto parts wearhouse or check on ebay. the unit is very easy to replace do it yourself. I would also invest in Haynes auto repair manuel which run about 20 bucks at most auto part store. its really good investment and will give you many instructions with picture step by step. If replacing cam sensor does not rectified the issue, than it will be the ECU, I would replace the sensor first because it cheap before you buy the new ECU.

SOURCE: heater blows out on defrost only, switch to floor @

The doors that switches the air from one position to the other are moved by actuators. Actuators are moved by the switch on dash. If loss of power to switch the doors will go into default. I would start with checking fuses, then at the actuator.

Air doesn't blow out of heater/ac vents

There is a possibility that the fan may have came off The motor shaft/spindle which has to rotate to blow the air to the vents

AC/Heater blower fan stops blowing air into the cabin when I accelerate.

Usually a vac leak. I would check for a leak in the HVAC control system and the line thru the firewall to the engine.

The air only blows out only on defrost on my 91 chevy truck

air blows out only defrost possible cause could be faulty ac and heater mode switch or broken vacuum line to ac and heater vacuum actuator.you have to remove ac and heater control switch to check it out.

Inside fan stops blowing when accelerating. esp when ac is on.

Check the vacuum line from the engine that feeds into your AC/Heater controls. If it is cracked, broken, or collapses under vacuum, then replace it.

My heat and defrost are no longer working..fan will blow but only blowing cold air?? any ideas on what the problem is??

sounds like the vent door is not opening could be mechanical via a cable or electronic via a vacuum solenoid valve

Can't shut off the heat

You didn't say which switch you were referring to. So, since you say the "heat" keeps blowing out, I asume that you do not mean the fan control only (which would simply indicate a faulty switch) but the "heater/AC temperature control". Check the vacuum lines (to heater and AC vent controls under hood first then under dash) for holes/cracks/breaks or if one may have come loose.

Ac will not blow thru ac vents, only thru defrost vents.

if vent doors are operated by vacuum check for loose or broken vacuum hoses in the engine compartment , or check the fuse box for any ac/heat fuses if it is a electricaly controoled system
