FordRanger 3l 2008model:the keylight flashes on&off, the engine cuts out sometimes and then runs again. sometimes the revcounter and speed counter drops to O and then returns back to normal. problem?

Replace the speed sensor located on the transmission this sends the signal to the speedometer, you may want to check the plug and its terminals to be sure the terminals in the plug are not corroded if they are clean the terminals with electrical contact cleaner then drive the care see if cleaning the plug fixed it if not replace the speed sensor.

Hi, what you describe sounds like a weak relay. It could be the PCM power relay. Hopefully your power box under the hood looks like the one below. If it does, the relay is #3. Try swapping it with #5, which is your defogger relay. If this works to keep the car running, get a new relay for the defogger. If this doesn't work, we'll need to do some troubleshooting.

i suggest you use a car diagnostic tool check your car.
