SOURCE: 1994 olds 98 rear seat belt (behind driver seat) is stuck

Nope typically, you need to extract the seat belt roller mechanism. Carefully you need to open the covers, do not bust any catches, get a strong light. Where you need to wind up looks like a ratchet. Along this ratchet is a catch that needs to be manually released.

This release is not always very easy, often the belt being tight restricts surgical access.

If you even think that you may have damaged or tweeked something during this process, replace the whole belt. It is your life that depends on it.

I have never had to replace a seat belt, so it is not too fragile, just be carful.

SOURCE: my front passenger seat belt

You might be able to lubricate it with WD - 40 or other spray lubricant ( I prefer PB Blaster). As an alternative you can buy a replacement seat belt assembly from your local auto parts store that will bolt in place of your existing belt assembly - maybe. I have had to drill new mounting holes in vehicles in the past and the job required removal of the seat to have room for drilling. Then I used flat washers on the mounting bolt underside of car for strengthening the hold and I used blue Locktite to keep the nut on the bolt from loosening.
Hope this helps and good luck!!

The passenger side seat belt is stuck on my 1995 toyota pick uptruck. The belt can not be used and will not move (release) ineitherdirection. Any tips?

Replace it as it is no longer safe to use even if you did get it moving again. The ratcheting/locking mechanism has gone bad.

2000 alero power seat stuck

this more likely is a worn out gear that spins and moves the seat. you should check the motor to see if it actually spins if it does repair the gear.

My dad washed my engine and I have had electrical problems

the dc motor that moves your seat is stuck in reverse or the other way and it is drainging your battery. one way to fine out if it is the motor, unplug the dc motor connector. this connector is located under the seat that is stuck. another way is to look in hood relay box and remove the fuel that feels that dc motor.

Passenger seat back will not move either direction

Motor on the seat may have gone out, contacts in switch got dirty or worn, or assembly reached limit and stuck. Try sitting in it pushing back hard and adjust. If not youll need to replace switch,b take seat apart to fix or replace.

1999 volvo s80 passenger seat stuck in forward position

you will need to check to make sure no coins fell into the track and is jammed it if not you will need to replace the bottom frame of the seat possible with a junk yard one much cheaper than buying new and junkyard frames come complete.

Power seat

It sounds like the motor may have jammed. I would remove the seat (only held on by 4 bolts) and loosen the motor and then see if it will move.
