On a 2001 hyundai sonata? If coolant is going to leak out I want to be prepared and prevent a messy situation.
Lol.......Always be prepared......Yes more then likely it will. Have a very large drain pan under the radiator.
To change engine coolent temp sensor, you must first remove coolant from radiator. on the bottom side of the radiator closest to the ground there is a red plastic plug. use a phillips screw driver to remove plug and drain fluid. then remove the air filter box. then remove both coolant hoses that are above and on the side of the sensor.unplug the sensor ..the sensor can be removed with a 19mm wrench. make sure you have a cup to catch the coolant as you unscrew the sensor.

yes
all of a sudden radiator coolant is leaking from behind engine block. No rapidly draining
Is it possible coolant could be leaking from the engine coolant pipe?
