Every now & then my etc light comes on , my truck loose power and i have to pull over then shut it off then turn it back on runs fine till the next time it does it , how do i fix it

The first step would be to attach a dealer scan tool, and see what is being sent/commanded. If there is a full command set from the outside, a pressure test would be the next, to see if pressure is rising in the proper areas. No computer command from the outside, would mean checking the related input sensors, such as the lever position switch, throttle position sensor, MAP sensor, air flow meter and the power control module. This requires a digital lab scope and a data recorder.

Your battery is dead or your transformer which loads the battery and since your ignition etc run on the battery, the spark gets smaller etc. And your accu allways turns some electrons back and you just can start and drive. Let a neighbour look at it a check the belt, maybe it just slips. Transformers ain't cheap

Sounds like your ignition module it is common on fords to do this when its cool it will start and run fine but once it heats up the truck dies until you let it cool down again and then your up and running till it heats up again. Some modules are mounted on the fender others are mounted with the distributor have it checked and let me know how it went.

probaly lost fuel pressure, from fuel pump going out, or relay went out. Need more info such as, did engine stop running completly, or did it start back up etc. post back please.

The electronic traction control (ETC) is on because of a sensor failure. Run fault codes to find out the reason for the misfiring when the light comes on . It may be connected to a limp mode in the CPU to slow down the car when the ETC has a problem

Nuts, bolts, and other connections are susceptible to coming loose due to severe vibration from the road and engine vibration. Check to make sure the positive & negative battery cables are tight. Next, follow the black negative cable to the chassis (or engine block) and ascertain that end is tight. Next, follow the red positive cable to the relay end, then to the starter motor to ascertain those connections are tight. As you're following the cables, check for corrosion.
When nuts/ bolt connections to electrical power are loose, less electrons can pass. Corroded cables have the same effect. Corrosion acts as a resistor, much like taking a garden hose, then bending and creating a choke point where less water can pass, decreasing water pressure on the outlet end of the hose. Loose electrical connections also simulate resistors. So you can imagine a circuit is like a garden hose. The electrons is water, and your headlights, tail lights, stereo radio, and other electrical accessories are the water valve. When you run your headlights, air conditioning, wiper blades, etc... you increase the power demand and the flow of electrons, much like you had increased the garden hose water pressure by opening the water valve wider.

run fault codes to find the reason that the CPU keeps going into limp /shut down mode. Check oil level and water level in the radiator.

I had the same problem with my, 03, hemi. I did not wait 15 min. turn off and back on was all that was needed to reset, "red flashing light lower right hand ". though another 8 or 9 on off's, Engin Light also goes off, untill next time. All i did was pulled off my Air Intake box and hose, so i could get to butterfly on throttle bodie, sprayed carb cleaner in there. and it was very dirty. after put back togather, give it a few.... mine did not start right up, when it did idle real ruff even died few times...Once the computer re adjusted ran like it did when i bought it....that was 2 weeks ago, still no eng light, no flashing red ones either.

I have had the EXACT same problem with my 03 Chevy Tahoe!!! I have yet to find out the solution!? I cleaned all my grounds and changed my rear speed sensor along with bench tested my alternator! Have you found the problem? I would be very grateful if you could hit me back with an answer!! Thanks

These trucks have a drive by wire system,we seen a` lot with a broken ground wire on the rear of the drverside cyl head,this is hard to see just feel and give the wire a tug .If the wire is loose or broken the reduced engine power light will come on.
