Easy way, turn key to on position...do not start
Turn key off....stomp on brake pedal 3 times...turn key to on position..this should reset service light..do it twice to verify. You can also use the built-in reset if installed....
Check the manual in the glove box should give steps to reset it or call the dealership and ask. Normally they will just give you the steps. If not ask your local trans shop. This normally does not cost anything.Good Luck

You are going to need a Rebuild on this Tranny. Unless you know how to Rebuild a Tranny, I would have it done at a Tranny Shop. If you get the Clutches in the Wrong order During Rebuild it could Crack the Housing on the Tranny and cause a Bigger Problem. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

change it youll b fine i drive a 99 camaro with 165000 miles on it and i change my tranny fluid every 30000 miles if not comfortable doin that try slick 50 first
If it had lots of miles on the trans fluid befor you changed it that fluids additives broke down long ago and wore out most of the fiber material in your trans,,its a problem with alot of gm makes ,unfortunatly you now need to rebuild at least a portion of the trans

Turn on key , dont stare with in 3 seconds push gas pedal 3 times,1,2,3, . this should reset oil lite.
