try using a fault scanner to reset the program after the battery change.

I removed the battery cable from the negative terminal for 2 hours, reconnected it, which reset the memory to it's default. My sound is now working for my audio system.

If it is the passenger side, do you have some thing on your passenger seat? is it the air bag off light.

There is a connector under the seat. pusher it together to see if it is loose.

Basically, stop driving it until you can get the transmission serviced.
If you can safely jack up the vehicle and support it so it cannot fall on you, you can possible save some money by checking all the electrical connections to the transmission. Sometimes the problem is a loose or bad connection. If that does not work, your safest bet is to bring it to a certified mechanic, especially one who specializes in Lexus.

That is not a common problem. I work at a lexus dealership and can attest to that. If you complain loud enough the dealer should "goodwill" warranty that for you especially since you've been a good customer. lexus sells a great car and will allow the dealer to warranty it for you out of warranty at their discretion. your powertrain warranty should be 7yr /70,000
