P0344 is the camshaft position sensor.

Take a look at this link http://www.obd-codes.com/p0340. The problem lies in the cam shaft sensor circuit which means that it isn't necessarily the sensor itself. Read what that page has to say and just start from the top and work your way down the solutions. As far as how much it cost, it obviously depends on what is wrong, but assuming it is your cam shaft sensor you can buy the part for around forty dollars at AutoZone. The light will go out when the washer fluid tank is filled, if it is full then the level sensor is defective and you need to install a new one, it is located in the washer fluid tank.
