no not original transmisson not even on the vin plate
only engines are recorded on registration papers
..
vin plate decoded number will designate
CVT , std automatic or manual gearbox

sounds like you could have a loose antenna wire . you will have to get into the dash to see if it hasn't wiggled loose.

1. turn on ignition(dont start the engine)
2 .Hold down the trip meter reset which is on the dispplay where MPH and rev counter is.
3. once in reset mode cycle through each section by pressing once
Normally the one that requires reset will be orange or red in colour.
4. Hold down until RESET? appears.
5. Hold down again until clock resets.

Scum on your butterfly valve or frayed cable.Carby cleaner or replace cable.

jsut a guess but approx. 60 - 80 thousand miles.check belt for waer before replacing

you need to remove the engine. your flywheel is bolted to your crankshaft

in the owners manual.
