When accelerating, or going along a up road
EGR valve may be stuck closed or have carbon clogged ports causing spark knock . A bad Knock Sensor can do this. Overheating or too lean of a fuel mixture can cause knocking .
If it sounds like a sort of knocking noise, it could be that you are using a gas with to low of a octane level. See what happens if u put higher grade gas in or go to auto parts store and try a 5 dollar bottle of octane booster on your next fill up. If that quiets your noise that could be your problem.

one thing to check is rear engine mounting i have had a stone wedged in one and it causes a nasty noise when accelerating

First thing i would try...... ISOHEET, Red bottle..... allows water to be mixed into the fuel and be burnt out of the tank.
get a good qaulity fuel injection cleaner, if you can locate the brand MALCO, i found it quite succesful..... and go with a full tank of premium fuel such as ammoco or shell......do not use yellow bottle of heet

that happened to me last summer. i hav a 2002 exploder by ford. turns out there was too much junk on my key ring. the chip in the key was defaulting. $500.00 later i lerned how reset the key fob, no problems since. all the junkk;house keys,scanner etc is now ona separate ring.
