SOURCE: Steering column 2005 chrysler town and country

You can buy a haynes manual to remove it but most manals won't have that information, why do you want to change it and if you have a camera I can tell you how to remove and replace it if I have a picture of it.

Can not shift to reverse/park

Transmission is probably out or on the verge of going out. Or if it is an automatic and the shifter lever itself is hard to move first check transmission and then check gears and components inside steering column.

Signal lights will not stay on or they just blink a couple of times and go off

I have seen problems with the turn signal switch/wiper switch. Try wiggling hazard switch on top of steering column to see if turn signals start working if so replace switch if not replace turn signal flasher relay. To find location refer to owners manual. Hope this helps.

Knocking noise under the steering column

it could be the struts, upper strut mounts or a broken spring on one of the struts

Turn signal problems

Try adjusting your steering column tilt and see if a different position fixes it. Otherwise the switch in the steering column is most likely faulty.
