Urn your ignition off to begin retrieving your radio code. Press and hold the "1" and "6" preset buttons on your radio. Turn your ignition on. Write down the code displayed on your radio. The display will flash with two numbers: one beginning with a "U" and one beginning with a "L." Write down both numbers (beginning with the "U" number), and then disregard the "U" and the "L." This number (eight digits) is your radio serial code. You'll need it to retrieve your radio anti-theft code. Contact Honda to retrieve your radio anti-theft code. You'll need your 17-digit VIN...Vehicle Identification Number, found beneath the driver's side of the windshield and your radio serial code. Honda's customer service number is (800) 999-1009. Provide the representative with the information to acquire your radio anti-theft code. You can also retrieve your radio anti-theft code online at https://radio-navicode.Honda.com/ then turn your ignition to "Acc" or "On" to power on your radio. Enter your radio anti-theft code using the preset buttons at the bottom of your radio. For example, if your anti-theft code is "55512," you would press the "5" button three times, then the "1" button, then the "2" button. This will unlock and reset your Honda radio.

you can try the above for your 2000..if you get two 4 numbers have someone write them down. then go to the web site above. you'll need the VIN too.
Unfortunately most of the time, owners of 2000 and older Honda vehicles need to physically remove the radio from the dashboard by using some automotive pry bar tools and locate the serial number sticker on the back of the unit.).

hope this helps a little

The only way to get the code is giving the serial number off the radio to the loacl Honda dealer. They can then look it up through Honda's radio code database. If you remove the radio yourself, they might not charge to give you the code.

The Unlock Code and the device unit's serial number are listed on the anti-theft ID card that comes with the vehicle. The card is usually placed in the glove box at the time of delivery. Use the Unlock Code listed on this card. For certain models, the dealer may have placed a label with the device serial number on the glove box. eb235a0.jpg ----------------- If you cant find it, you need 3 things

1. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

2. Phone Number and Zip Code Information

  • For security purposes, we(HONDA) verify ownership by comparing the phone number, zip code, and VIN you enter with those we have on file. Unless you have updated these values through Customer Services, the phone number and zip code will be those on file at the time the vehicle was purchased.
3. Device Serial Number
  • you need the radio's serial number. since it is located on the back of the radio. your gonna need the pull the radio to get it.

Then CLICK HERE and enter the information for automated code retrieval.

SOURCE: Need 1996 Honda Accord radio code, please

Hiya,
Pull open the center console ash tray, depress the sides, giggle it out and you'll find a series of numbers ( I think on the bottom ) and there you will find your gold. The find digit number is it. If you entered too many wrong numbers, follow the manual on how to get more tries.
Also, this has to be the original radio in the car.

Try these things. Why don't you call the Honda customer service at 1-800-999-1009 have your radio serial number and VIN to your car and they will help you to unlock your radio. If you don't have the serial code to your radio and you are the original owner they will tell you have to get the code and turn it back on and also how to get your serial number to you radio to unlock it. Here are some websites too: www.Radio-code.com & www.webcrawler.com type in radio unlock code. But if you are the original owner you should have a white card that came with the car. It says HONDA Anti-theft radio Identification card . It has you code number and serial number on it and how to put in the code to unlock the radio.

The reset code for your radio is located in the glove compartment. There should be a small sticker on the inside of the compartment door, usually near the left side. The sticker has two sets of numbers printed on it. The number set with five digits is your reset code.

Positive feedback is greatly appreciated.

Good luck and God Bless.
