The switch still lights up as if working, Passenger side still works fine
There are separate fuses for the left and right seats in the fuse block . Also, check the connectors near the heat unit under the seat as one may be loose or corroded .
You have probably burnt up the element as it is a 17 year old seat now. The elements are replaceable, but the labor is pretty spendy. To test it you will need a multimeter to check for continuity across the connectors that go to the seat heating elements and check for voltage at the car side of the connector. If you have 12v to one side of the connector and continuity to ground at the other side, and do not have continuity to the seat side between the connectors, you know it is a bad element.
Heating element failed ? Test with an ohmmeter . Test power to the heating element .

Disconnect the seat cushion heater element 4 way connector.
Test the resistance through the seat cushion heater element.
Is the resistance within the specified values?
0.5-2 ohms
Go to Step 14
11
Test the resistance through the heated seat switch from the heated seat switch signal circuit terminal to the heated seat switch high/low signal circuit terminal in the heated seat control module harness connector.
Is the resistance at or near the specified values?
• high 310 ohms
• low 200 ohms
Test the resistance from the heated seat thermistor signal circuit terminal to the ground circuit terminal in the heated seat control module harness connector.
Is the resistance within the specified values?
7K-11K ohms
Using a test lamp backprobe the seat heater element supply circuit terminal in the heated seat control module connector.
Operate the heated seat switch to the high position.
Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 12
Go to Step 7

Disconnect the heated seat control module.
Connect a test lamp from the heated seat switch signal circuit terminal in the harness connector to ground.
Operate the heated seat switch to the high and low positions.
Does the test lamp illuminate in the high and low switch positions?
SOURCE: drivers heated seat quit working,
most likely you will be dealing with broken seat element. locate harness connector for heating element under seat and ck for power with test lite. just experienced same problem in a 2000 park ave

check sensor on reservoir. Unplug connector to sensor to see if light goes out. If yes, replace sensor. If no, wire may be shorted.

Either the switch itself is bad or the front heated seat module is having an issue.
