if its not going int o red zone it is normal to get hotter as she climbs hills
Just a wild guess because I know very little about automatics.
Modern cars need the footbrake applying in order to release the gear lever and so it could be worth checking that safety device (brake pedal switch) if fitted.
I have never seen this issue posted. And yes the dealer is right about the body control module.
