Where do I get Car Maintenance Manual

While many owners manuals are available online, it appears yours is not. Toyota.com says to call their Material Distribution Center at 1-800-622-2033 to order owners manuals, repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and other technical reference documents. It doesn't say if there is a fee, or how much.
Another site: Helm, Inc.has owners manuals for a fee. Might be cheaper than Toyota.
If you are just looking for maintenance schedules, Edmunds.com has a Maintenance page with manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule, recalls, and technical service bulletins for your car. Good luck.

There is a small dilema here. The Owner's Manual for your Lincoln says to refer to the Maintenance schedule to find the proper interval for replacing your transmission fluid. Here is where the problem arises: The Maintenance schedule published for your vehicle says to replace the transmission fluid at 30,000 mile intervals for several transmission models. Then it "excepts" the models that are not lsted by transmission model number in the preceeding text - yours is not listed.

Then, when I go to the service manual and search by your vehicle (2000 Lincoln LS) it says to replace the transmission fluid at 30,000 mile intervals without any exceptions.

Here is what I recommend to my customers:

CHECK the fluid every 30,000 miles and REPLACE the fluid and filter every 60,000 miles. I have found that this works for almost every make and model out there. I have several customers with over 300,000 miles on their cars that have never had transmission overhauls.

Call or stop by any dealer, they'll be more than happy to photo copy one for you. You might invest in a Haynes or Clymers manual available from Amazon.com or any good parts store

This is way beyond typical owner maintenance. Go to ebay and buy yourself a repair manual for the car, it will cost less than a tank of gas. You will need a lift or a hoist to pull the engine and transmission out, and a good selection of tools. There will be step by step instructions and photos in the manual

I have 1998 Maruti Esteem Automatic gear car - It works smoothly for 10-15 Kms and afterwards gear not shifting (may be getting heated inside somewhere?) - Recently I changed gear oil also. Any solution???
