I have replaced the blinker relay when i use my right blinker it works as soon as i turn the left or use the hazards it blows the fuses. not shure where to start to look
Re: I have replaced the blinker relay when i use my right...
Sounds like a bulb on the left side is shorting out. First, check the bulbs, if that isn't it, try using a continuity meter to test between the positive wires and the ground at the bulb socket.

Turn signal switch is probably the problem ,but without testing that is just a guess. Do know i replaced a few on grand am's . What relay ???? There is no relay in the fuse box for the turn signals . Your vehicle has turn / hazard flasher module .
Turn Signal Lamps
The TURN-B/U fuse and the STOP/HAZ fuse in the IP fuse block, supplies battery positive voltage to the flasher module. The turn signal lamps may only be activated with the ignition switch in the ON position. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, current flow is from the flasher module's output to the turn signal switch assembly. The flasher module then sends an on-off voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, all the turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn signal indicators.
Located under the driver side of the dash above the brake pedal ,on a metal bracket .
Turn Signal/Hazard Flasher Module
On the dash harness near the steering column
either check for voltage at the blinker and also check for left blinker fuse . NO voltage at connector there is an open in wire replace try to find the open torn insulator or wire being exposed.
you have a left side turn signal out in the front or back replace bulb the reason why your bilnkers wont blink is because your flasher relay is bad the relay will be located n the fuse panel under the drivers dash any auto parts store should have the light and the relay in stock replace both of those and youll be in buisness
Did you replace the hazard/flasher/blinker relays?- they are in the fuse block usually.
This is weird, but try this: Turn on your hazard lamps and turn your steering wheel all the way left and all the way right.
Then turn on your left blinker and hold the blinker on while you turn all the way left, then right. It will click and try to turn it off but keep it held down and turned on. Then do the right blinker the same way.
I have had this problem with every GM I've ever had, something about the detent-return and the blinker relays getting reset. I'm not sure why it works, but if your flasher relays are good and your fuses, bulbs and wires are good then this is probably what will fix ya. I've had this happen often enough that I always do this first. My GM vehicles were/are all 60s to 90s models- old school, but try this before you do anything else with it it's free and only takes about 15 seconds to do. Sometimes I have to do it more than once, but eventually the detents reset and they work. Viola!
Good luck and please rate this solution if it fixes ya!
Try replacing the Flasher first before spending to much money for a possible simple fix. If it's not your flasher then it could be the turn signal leaver.
Ok, this may seem stupid, but that's what they did to the blazer. They set the flasher near the middle and under the center console behind the radio. It's to the left of the radio right behind the dash. The hazard flasher and the turn signal flasher are side by side. It right next to the Cig lighter behind the panel. They do mark the turn signal from the hazard flasher on the plastic behind them. Turn is on the right. Good luck and hope this helps.
