I have a 2004 Deadwood Lecetti and the oil warning light won't go off I have checked and there is oil in. What could it be please??

I would pull the instrument cluster and make sure the bulb is not burned out for the oil warning.

Check out the fuses may be faulty or a bad connection

If the check engine light is on, you would need to erase the trouble codes with a scanner or code reader to make the light go off. If the problem is still there the light will come back on.

i would guess the brake warning light is the sensor telling you your pads are low. check the brake fluid and see what level it is, no need to add oil unless it is almost empty but then you would be hearing a squeek grinding noise from brakes. those only cost a few (i think $5) to replace when you do your brakes. but this is just a guess please make sure you have breaks before driving

check the oil level, if this is ok you may need to replace the switch at the bottom of the oil filter housing

It is the OIL light but the cup is usually yellow. Check your oil levels and if the light persists. You seriously need to investigate a no oil pressure problem.

Red is usually for brake reservior lights... i.e add brake fluid.

check or change the oil filter sometimes if you take your car to a service tech they put cheao after market filters on your engine resulting in oil pressure issues also would be a good idead to check the pressure and volume from the oil pump to make sure the regulator valve in it isnt sticking

You can disconnect your battery for 15 minutes or pull the fuse for an ECM or PCM fuse, but the best way is to visit any local repair shop. Most shops will have a universal Check Engine Light Code Reader that can quickly and safely reset check engine light trouble codes. It should take about 30 seconds.

Ask your local service center if they could reset the check engine light with a Check Engine Light Code Reader.
