Your best bet have the instrument cluster tested . Hooking it up to a factory scanner is the best first diagnostic step . Checking for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . Checking cluster data , all gauge info. come's from the BCM or PCM over the class 2 serial data network . Class2 data is a communication network for the control modules . Are their any light's lit on the instrument cluster ? Check engine , ABS , Air bag etc..... GM also had instrument cluster problems from 2003 to 2006 , stepper motor's that drive the gauge needls , silver migration -google that one.

Try removing neg on battery for a bit then hook back up.

Look around under the hood. You probably dislodged a vacuum hose.

03 mercedes e500 guage cluster dead after changing battery I unplugged the guage and plug it back in and it flashes on then nothing again
On MANY Mercedes you have to use a Computer with Mercedes software to activate electrical components. One instance was when I changes a window regulator and motor on the drivers door and it would not work and turned on the 'check engine' light. I connected my 'Mercedes Diagnostic Computer' and followed the reset procedure, reset the check engine light and everything worked. You may have the same issue. The cluster component may have to be reset using a Diagnostic Computer.

Oil pressure guage is generally for the engine instead of the transmission. Probably a bad sending unit or gauge. Most commonly it is a bad sending unit or broken connection between the dash and the sending unit mounted on the engine.

Replaced the battery in the Tahoe and am now watching the guage for the battery . Most time it is steady just above 14 but sometimes it tends to drop back a little. Is this normal
Yes ... No car draws the same amount of current continually. To check that ... turn on you heater to high then your defroster ... you should see the gauge change

None of the guages work on my tahoe when you turn the key to the first click the info center will light up and the milage will show but if you turn the key to the on postion then all of it goes off and...
It is a bad Ign switch. Get it replace and it will work fine.

Changed battery in 05 chevy truck now oil pressure is 80 lbs
I take it the guage was fine untill you changed the battery? There a special policy on clusters for 03 and 04 gm ck trucks 7 years and 70k covered 100% Between 70 and 80 k warr will pay for the cluster and you pay labor.The guage needles have a problem of sticking.Call your dealer and ck with them about the special policy 1st.I hope you truck falls with in the guide lines for warr.

I have had the EXACT same problem with my 03 Chevy Tahoe!!! I have yet to find out the solution!? I cleaned all my grounds and changed my rear speed sensor along with bench tested my alternator! Have you found the problem? I would be very grateful if you could hit me back with an answer!! Thanks
