My car has stalled while driving before and after leaving the shop. When i get the battery charged and put it back in my car starts fine but stalls when the battery runs out of juice. Ive had my alternator replaced with a remanufactured one from advanced auto. Car still stalls when the battery dies and the battery light stays on. I have had the battery tested and my mechanic said he checked all connections before putting the new alternator in. Is it possible for a battery to test good and still not be able to hold a charge?

How long did the 2nd alt. last before it died? The voltage regulator is, I believe, attached to the alternator. Have u had the voltage regulator checked?

Go to an auto parts store and buy a load tester for the battery. It doesn't cost much and sometimes if you bring the battery there they will test it for you with a load tester. It may have a dead cell which won't allow it to hold a charge or put out enough power. If you need a battery, some shops will install them for free. Good luck.

it sounds like you have blown fuse to the Alternator.. I don't know what car you are talking about but they charging systems vary.. But if alternator isn't getting all the power it needs it won't charge. this should be checked.
