Try turning the key forward 2 clicks to ACC mode. Keep it there for 11 minutes. Turn key back 5 seconds, then try to start. If this does not work, you may have a bad VATS reader in the ignition, or bad TDM. These cars are notorious for cluster issues in the dash that can effect the security as well. Many dashes in junk yards have been picked over for this reason.

Hi....
Is common to see this problem with the theft system on chevys.
On your case I can figure out that the Computer is lossing the Pass code.
But this is due to a Bad pass lock sensor . The pass lock sensor is integrated in the Ignition lock cylinder.
The car will start After about 15 minutes. with the key In On position.
Because is about the time that the computer take to learn the Pass lock code. Exactly 11 min.
I recomend get the ignition lock cylinder checked for any inconssistence on the hardware.
The key some times bent. Or the small wires around the Lock cylinder damaged.
If everything is OK.. You will need to replace the Ignition lock cylinder , Before any control module...
Ok.. I hope this help on your problem.
Thank you for use fixya...

I had the same problem with ours...
It ia a faulty ign switch lock (the sensor) > Expensive part >
Temp fix;
remove the cover underneath the steering column and locate the thin white flat (3) wire (runs from the ignition key lock down to a connector.
After starting the the car , dis-connect the connector under the dash that the Ign lock goes to , after that the car should start everytime.
You will need to replace the lock assy. if you want to fix this correctly ; I have been using ours for (6) months > no problem except the "Theft System " light stays on -
