Might be your jeep's ecu is bad. Does the check engine light come on your dash, when you turn the ignition key to on, before cranking? If not, the ecu is bad. If the check engine light does come on, it may be the crank sensor is bad on your jeep.
I would be thinking that there is a good chance that you need to be checking out replacing the computer, if you aren't getting any communication with the proper scan tool then the computer isn't communicating with anything in the vehicle...... I would have guessed first off that the ignition control module might be bad but that is obviously part of the computer also, I would be looking in that direction.
there is also a cam sensor and throttle position sensor, any codes, fuel npump can test ok but jeeps are noted to have the fuel tank sock come off in the tank and the fuel pumps can have intermittent starting problems. I hope thiis helps
