The service and repair manual with diagram will provide you step by step help to locate and fix the problem easily and you will get the manual from the given link https://toolsnyou.com
Wiring, schematic, electrical diagrams, fuse diag, error codes etc are basic contents of these online books they have here on this website www.reliable-store.com I have attached. Must check it out
your maxima has 2 a/f ratio sensors. they are both screwed into the exhaust manifolds. bank 2 which is the front bank by radiator has sensor clearly visible right by the fans. bank 1 is a pain in the rear to replace, because of its location by the firewall. you will need to perform "self learn reset" procedure after replacing the a/f ratio sensor, or the code will come back on, even tho you don't have an issue with the sensor. reset procedure gets done with nissans consult scanner.
I think I answered this a couple of weeks ago on a different Nissan. Both codes are saying the computer can not control valve timing on bank two. There is a solenoid that uses engine oil flow to adjust valve timing. If the sensors and solenoid are good, the problem could be lack of oil reaching the solenoid, or a problem with the wiring harness.
If the ABS light is on, it's a good idea to find out what codes are stored.
The OBD-II system allows many codes to be read but a specialist with an ABS BrakeScan tool will be needed in order to find the codes for the ABS system for your vehicle.
I bought a Brakescan tool that works on most Ford, Chrysler, and GM vehicles from 1996 through 2005 but, I don't think it will work with the Nissan Maxima.
So, that's why I would direct you to the dealer for this one.
