SOURCE: Tryin to find out where

If this vehicle came with a block heater, it would be either on the side of the engine block lower down(you should see an three core electrical cord coming out of the connection.)Or it could be located on the lower radiator coolant hose.
But be aware, that not all vehicles came with block heaters. you may have to have one installed.

SOURCE: remove expansion valve in 1996 town and country

Once you disconnect the lines there are two torx screws that hold it in place. Once removed it should just pull off.

SOURCE: 2001 Nissan Pathfinder, expansion valve malfunction. How to remove evaporator/expansion valve

Evacuate all refrigerant and recycle. Disconnect the high pressure line from the EXP valve and disconnect valve. Clean surfaces and install new O rings. Reassemble. Pull a vacuum on the system and recharge with refrigerant and oil. This is NOT a DIY job.

How do I access the rear A/C expansion valve on 2001 Chrysler town and country

First you will need to have the system evacuated so there is no longer refrigerant in the system

Next remove the rear seats or stow them. Then remove all the trim panels from the passenger rear of the vehicle. You will then be able to see the rear HVAC assembly.

Jack up the vehicle and support it properly. remove the nut that holds the rear lines to the expansion block.

Remove the heater core form the HVAC module with the cooling lines still attatched. Remove the HVAC module from the vehicle.

You will then be able to replace the rear evap core/tubes/expansion valve.

Get the kit from the dodge dealer. It will make life very easy.

Expansion Valve

Follow the a/c lines to the firewall. The part they are attached to is the expansion valve. Once the a/c system is evacuated the lines can be removed from the expansion valve. The expansion valve can then be removed from the EVAP core.

Where is the expansion valve located on the 2004 KIA Sedona

Kia Sedona expansion FRONT valve located under dash, behind glove box, fan and coil. Evacuate freon first. Disconnect Freon lines from firewall., Lay right front seat back to flat horizontal position and lay on top or totally remove the seat for easier working access. Remove under dash cover, fan, glove box, coil housing, remove coil mounting bolts, remove old expansion valve. (Inspect old valve, if debris inside, blow out coil before installing new valve. If visible debris best to consider replacing REAR expansion valve and DRIER/FILTER in front of radiator too and blow out all lines and coils while servicing.) Use compressor oil to lubricate "O" rings on new FRONT or REAR expansion valve, install valve bolts, reinstall coil bolts to FRONT firewall or REAR frame, reconnect freon lines to firewall in engine compartment. Evacuate AC system, install freon (35 1/2 ounces, nominal 3 pounds), check system for leaks, check for proper operation, enjoy.

How do i replace my ac expansion valve?

{: ) You didn't mention your vehicle model. But anyway, the a/c expansion valve can be usually found at the engine compartment firewall, just a division away where it connects with the evaporator inside the dashboard. Just follow the trail of the two a/c pipes from the a/c compressor going towards the engine firewall, and there youl'll find a small rectangular block that serves as the junction point. That is the expansion valve.
The two pipes are mounted to the expansion by one or two bolts, depending on the model. Before you begin removing a/c components, make sure the surfaces especially the area of concern are cleaned, this is to prevent dirt or dust entering the a/c system. If possible, cover the pipes and openings. After removing the bolts, separate by pulling the two pipes aside. The expansion valve is mounted to the evaporator bracket, it's either a torx or an allen type bolts. You need to remove these bolts to separate the expansion valve from the evaporator bracket. Cover all openings of a/c lines to prevent contamination.
With the expansion valve removed, have time also to check the quality and color of the refrigerant oil. Check for possible contamination, flush the system if needed and reevaluate the condition of the compressor and condenser.
If everything seem to be fine, proceed with the new replacement of the expansion valve. It is also advisable not to reuse the old o-rings. Use new o-rings whenever possible.
Installation is just the reverse of the removal, so goodliuck.

I replaced the ac compressor in my 1999 Sebring convertible with one from a junk yard. The shop who replaced it said the valve must be stuck and is not opening(?) Can I fix this so my ac works or do I need...

if they are talking about the a/c expansion valve or h-valve,it could be stuck not allowing refrigerant flow..it can be replaced..it is located behind engine on passenger side at firewall..would recommend a professional to service your a/c system..this part may be available at your local parts dealer
